The travel and food gobblers or The food and travel gobblers (either one of the two because it’s pretty much the same thing) consists of nine members which happens to be all girls. This blog will all be about travelling and eating. We, the contributers, would be sharing our own experiences about the places and the food that we have stumbled upon in our journey.

Calm Vibes

When it comes to travelling my family didn’t spend that much money just to go to a certain place especially if its too far. We usually go to a place where unexpected preparation happens, for example going to a beach called Puerto Azul in Ternate Cavite. We went there last 2016 just to have fun and forget about the problems that comes along the way. My family decided to pick this place because the place is very calm, unique and it’s better than the other beach we have done visiting.

My other family members like on my father side her sister lives in, Malolos Bulacan. We barely go there for example theres a gathering or birthdays and also getaway. We celebrating it by renting a clubhouse where there is a swimming pool.

The Vikings

When it comes to food, my family likes to explore and taste different kinds of food. These photos are taken at the ‘’Vikings’’ in Sm North Edsa.

if you are looking for international food this is a perfect place for you. For me Vikings is making me feel the luxurious feeling. for the facilities, I’ll rate them 10 out of 10. Because of the ambiance, the luxury feeling, spacious. For the price, it’s a bit expensive but I am telling you its all worth it! For the food, they had all my favorites especially in the desserts bar.

Got A Sweet Tooth?

Got a sweet tooth? or a dessert lover and always wants to try new desserts that are cheap but good? Well, don’t worry because i found one here in SM Aura, BGC called BONO Gelato.

They have different kinds of gelato flavors that are very satisfying if you’re a sweets lover. They also have Gelato Cookies and brownies just like in the picture above. Their gelato cookies are only P95 which is super worth the price since it has a really big scoop of gelato inside, plus the cookies are the salty type which complements the sweet, vanilla flavor with the small chocolate kisses around it.

So, if you’re looking for a light dessert but can satisfy your sweet tooth then this is the right place for you.

We’ve Finally Found It!

Ten days after Valentine’s Day my best friend and I went to this place called “The Lost Bread”. The name of their store was very interesting and intriguing. The only background that I know about it, is that they sell Ice Creams. I was so confused as to why they named it like that. Because first of all, there was no bread involved! But then again I stand corrected. There was bread involved and the name was a literal translation from the French words “Pain Perdu” which is more commonly known as french toast.

Anyways, The Lost Bread is located on the Fourth Floor of Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City. When we finally got there, we were so happy. The place looked so fresh! The designs were outstanding. It was perfect for teens like us and for the majority of the people in the Philippines.

As I was ordering our food of choice I noticed that all of the staff there was very accommodating and nice. We felt very secure and that we did not have troubles reaching out to them.

Let’s talk about the food (most are desserts). Man! The food there was A+. I ordered the Sub-zero soft-serve cup in the flavor, S’mores. The ice cream was super creamy and delicious. They also offer Filipino cuisine like Sinigang but with a twist.

You want to know more about The Lost Bread? Just find it out for yourself and try it as soon as you can! I bet that you will not regret a single bit of it, I promise! I highly recommend it.

The Hands of Jesus

Kamay ni Hesus
Year 2015 December 30. We go to this shrine which is popular not only among Catholics but also with the tourist going to some beach escapades in Quezon like Borawan or Pagbilao. Kamay ni Hesus is huge complex for religious activities with accommodation and retreat facilities. It also has a church where devotees can attend mass every day. Kamay ni Hesus is famous for its healing mass every Saturday conducted by the healing priest, Fr. Joey Faller. It also has playgrounds as well as some stores selling religious and souvenir items.

The highlight of the 5 hectare complex is the tall statue of Jesus Christ on top of the hill. It can take you 10 to 20 minutes to reach the statue depending on your speed. While going up appreciate the beauty of each layer. You will actually notice the Station of The Cross which depicts the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ all the way to the cross. This is the reason this place is popular among Catholics, here they can show their devotion to Jesus Christ by following his footsteps to the cross.
Upon reaching the top, a spectacular birds eye view of the town will greet you. It was truly a rewarding experience.

The fact that you reached the top looking at the face of Jesus Christ is a relief. Rest for a while and feel the moment while on top of the hill.

Club Balai Isabel

When it comes to travelling, my family likes to search, or surf on the internet just to find some relaxing, comfy and beautiful view.

We Spent 2 days at the resort and all I can say that the place is perfect for family and business gathering. The staffs are very accommodating and for the facilities, it’s well maintained.

The photos above were taken at ‘’Club Balai Isabel’’ in talisay, Batangas and photos taken at the resort. For the price it’s a bit pricey but for me it’s worth it.

Welcome to the Crib!

On the 2nd day of March, my friends and I decided to try out the Amo Yamie Crib. Wherein you can order food while being in a cute little “room”.
The Amo Yamie Crib is located on the third floor of DB Building 1250, Padre Noval Street Corner España Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila. The place was very delightful. It was cute and trendy. It also feels warm and fuzzy just like being in your own home. People and staffs there were very friendly and professional. As a customer you have the freedom of leaving notes on the walls of the rooms with sticky notes. It is wonderful to be able to read the thoughts of other people and also to be able to write my own thoughts is also very pleasant.
Have I mentioned that you could also sleep there as well? Once you are done ordering food the amount of time that you could sleep there is endless, well until they close the “crib”. Also it is a good place to study the ambience of the store is very calming. Other customers respect you and your privacy,so there are no worries being “eyed-on”.
As for the food, all of their food is super cute and also delicious. Especially the frappes, oh how yummy they were. The prices of their food for me, personally, are fair.

Going to Amo Yamie Crib with your “squad” or “gang” is highly recommended. Their one plate of food could serve 2-3 people. Going alone and eating there would be a little bit pricy so always remember to bring your friends!

Food Is Life

Last February 26 my friends and I decided to eat Lunch at Coffee Pression. It was my first time to eat there actually. It was a monday afternoon and it was jumpacked with millennials. We waited for about 35 mins or so because the place can only accomodate less people. We ordered their famous nachos, pasta and Mocha Frappe and I must say that all of their food is so yummy! No wonder that it is “Pinipilahan”. Those were our only orders but it is actually a lot for 2 persons. It is worth the price and super busog. Especially the nachos it is so cheesy!! The ingredients of nachos are so yummy .

Mocha Frappe, I like Mocha Flavor for my coffee the same way I like Ice cream Sundae, made with cream, sugar, chocolate syrup, caramel and whipped cream, and both the Mocha and Caramel Frappe provides all of that to mask the bitterness of coffee for me. Each Frappe is blended with ice and either a mocha coffee base, then it’s topped with whipped cream and drizzled with either a chocolate syrup.

Buracai de laiya and Chill

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

When it comes to travelling my Family really likes it. They spend too much money.

These photos are taken in “Buracai de Laiya” in Batangas .
My family picked this beach because this resort is designed to reflect the ambiance and the feel of Baguio, Tagaytay, Boracay and Palawan. There are a few beach in this area but this is good for a budget and good for a family.

We spent 2 days and 1 night at the resort giving us included access to all the resort amenities including breakfast. The resort was clean and our room was tidy and presentable. The food was good for the price. The sea view was good. We really loved the ambience of the resort. The beachfront views are lovely, the cool ocean breeze set the mood for relaxation. It was an easy place to just chill, lay back and unwind.

Being One with Nature

January 6,2018, In the town of Tanay alone, there are numerous waterfalls perched on the mountainside of Sierra Madre Mountain Range such as Daranak Falls in Barangay Tandang Kutyo. Daranak Falls’ main attraction is the 14-meter high waterfalls cascading into a deep catch basin that serves as its natural pool. This is aside from other smaller waterfalls situated in the area including the one across with cold and strong water freely flowing through the boulders into the same catch basin, perfect for a natural water massage.

Due to its popularity and accessibility, Daranak Falls usually becomes crowded specially during weekends and holidays so the best time to go there is on early morning or during weekdays. It is open daily from 8AM to 5PM with entrance fee of P20 for adult and P15 for kid, picnic shed can be rented at P300 while picnic table is at P150. Overnight camping or accommodation is not allowed.

January 6 present year 2018 around 2:20pm, we arrive at Calinawan Cave in Tanay Rizal. Calinawan Cave is our 2nd destination for that day. Base on our tour guide Calinawan Cave is used as hideout by Filipino revolutionaries during Spanish-American war, and a shelter during the Second World War.

How it got its name, according to local folklore, has a touch of history too, as it was where the Japanese and American troops settle their disputes, thus Calinawan from the Filipino word “linaw” which means to settle or to clear. Calinawan Cave is an enormous cave system composed of multiple levels and various chambers and openings. But more than its historical significance, the natural beauty of the cave’s interiors and chambers are magnets that attract a lot of people that even films and television productions often use the cave as their shooting location.

On my last year vacation we went to San Carlos, Pangasinan to visit our relatives. Accidentally me and my cousin went to “bayan” to visit the grave of my grandfather on my mother side. In the cemetery, I saw that tower and I was amaze, I admit I’m afraid of heights but I was wondering what is the feeling when you are in there. So I ask my cousin to go with me and climb that tower I saw. We only pay 20pesos for the environmental fee.
